Ask Juliet Anything About Your File
July 18, 2026
Latest
๐Ÿงฎ She can compute now โ€” not just use tools
  • Novel questions, real answers: Juliet can now run calculations directly against your file's full geometry โ€” "which marker is furthest off the course?", "how far apart are my fuel stops measured along the route?", "which 3 markers are closest to the midpoint of leg 2?" No more "there's no tool for that." Analysis runs in a locked-down sandbox that is strictly read-only: it can never alter your file.
  • Compute, then place: when a computed answer belongs on the map, she places the results through the same validated marker pipeline as always โ€” real coordinates, catalog icons, honest counts, one Undo away.
  • Discipline enforced, not hoped for: every release now runs an automated routing check that verifies Juliet still reaches for the right purpose-built tool first โ€” the fast, guaranteed engines stay her default; the sandbox is reserved for the questions nobody predicted.
  • ๐Ÿ‘Ž Tell us when she misses: every Juliet reply now carries a small thumbs-down โ€” one tap flags a wrong or unhelpful answer straight to the dev team. Combined with her own capability reports, what users actually need is now what drives which tools get built next.

Rally Markers Every N Miles
July 18, 2026
๐Ÿ“ Distance markers, measured on the line
  • "Put an RM marker every 5 miles along the course": Juliet can now place standalone distance markers (RM5, RM10, RM15 โ€ฆ) at exact mile intervals along any route โ€” the engine walks the route's real geometry and interpolates every marker directly onto the line, so a 1,100-mile course gets all 220 markers each exactly on the course. Pick your own interval, name prefix, and icon; mile 0 is the route's start, no reference points needed.
  • Honest by construction: the engine reports how many markers it placed, first and last (e.g. RM5 โ†’ RM1100) โ€” and refuses loudly if the file has several routes and it isn't told which one, rather than guessing.

Juliet Sees Your Routes โ€” and Modifies Them Cleanly
July 17, 2026
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Route endpoints, visible at last
  • Juliet now sees where every route starts and ends: her view of your file previously listed routes by name, color, and distance only โ€” so "where does my route home begin?" was unanswerable and she'd have to ask you. Every route now reports its start and end coordinates, so she can reason about your routes the way you see them on the map.
๐Ÿ” "Add a stop to my route" now swaps, never duplicates
  • Atomic route modify: asking Juliet to reroute an existing road route โ€” add a coffee stop, drop a leg, swing past a fuel station โ€” now rebuilds it through the new stops and replaces the original in one save. No more second copy of the route stacking up next to the old one.
  • Fail-loud, not fail-silent: if the route she's asked to replace doesn't match anything in the file, the engine refuses and lists the routes it does see โ€” instead of quietly adding a stray new line.
  • Undo still has your back: a replaced route is one โ†บ Undo away, same as every other change.
  • Race courses stay sacred: this applies to road-built routes only โ€” a laid course is still never re-routed, merged, or redrawn by the road builder.

Every Tool's GPX Welcome
July 8, 2026
๐Ÿงฉ Files from every tool now render
  • Malformed-but-common GPX repaired automatically: some route-planning tools export GPX with technically-broken XML (undeclared extension namespaces) that strict map parsers reject โ€” the route name would appear but no line would draw. LN COMMAND now repairs these files automatically at import, on every map render, and on every save. Already-uploaded files start rendering on your next refresh โ€” no re-upload needed.
  • Odd filenames can't hide your file: a file named like "course.gpx 2" (Apple's rename when unzipping a duplicate) now imports and reads correctly โ€” and if a file record ever really can't be found, Juliet says so instead of claiming your collection is empty.
๐ŸŽฏ Turn cues that can't be faked โ€” and a real Undo
  • Street navigation on your course (early beta): if you ask Juliet for street cues, the engine map-matches your route's real geometry against the road network and injects "TURN LEFT ONTO SMITH RD" cues at named junctions โ€” only where the course follows mapped roads. Cue placement is still being tuned, so review what she places; she won't offer this on her own yet.
  • Turn-angle cues from geometry: "add Hard Left / Hard Right cues" now walks the route's actual points and measures real bearing changes โ€” clustered switchbacks collapse to one cue, existing cues are respected, and nothing is ever estimated.
  • Undo, everywhere: a standing โ†บ Undo button now lives in the bottom bar next to Layers โ€” it restores the file to before the most recent change, whoever made it. Juliet also undoes on request ("undo that"), and every "Map updated with changes" message carries its own one-tap โ†บ Undo chip.
  • โ—ผ Stop button: a thinking Juliet can now be stopped mid-turn โ€” and turns that die quietly are automatically cleaned up within a minute instead of "thinking" forever.
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ More surgical Juliet
  • Direction fixes & bulk renames: Juliet can now reverse a route's direction of travel (same points, flipped order โ€” she'll warn you if turn cues ride along) and bulk-rename markers ("fix every VPC typo to VCP") without touching anything else.
  • Juliet sees your screenshots: messages with photos or screenshots attached now reach the same Juliet that edits your files โ€” no more separate limited path for image questions.
  • Trip Planner route list stays current: the Find Along Route picker now refreshes the moment the map does โ€” a route Juliet just merged or spliced shows up in the list immediately, no tab-hopping required.

Race Courses Are Sacred
July 7, 2026
๐Ÿ Merge race sections without touching a single point
  • True route merge: ask Juliet to merge your course sections into one continuous route and she now stitches the original points together exactly as laid โ€” every point copied verbatim, zero re-routing. Your originals stay on the map as reference unless you say otherwise.
  • No invented connectors: if two sections don't actually meet, the merge stops and tells you the measured gap instead of quietly drawing a road between them.
  • Course corrections, spliced surgically: when organizers issue a corrected segment (a "USE THIS" route), Juliet can now splice it into the course โ€” the old slice is cut out, the new segment inserted point-for-point, and the rest of the route untouched. Both ends must genuinely reconnect to the course, or she tells you instead of guessing.
  • Recolor without rebuilding: changing a route's color or name is now an in-place edit โ€” the line itself is never redrawn.
  • It's a Law: existing route geometry โ€” especially a race organizer's laid course โ€” can no longer be altered by a merge or a style change. Road routing is for building new routes only.

Find Along Route, Sharpened
July 6, 2026
๐Ÿ”Ž Search the route you picked
  • Route picker now means it: choosing a route in Find Along Route searches along that route only. Files with several routes no longer get every route searched at once โ€” and the "all routes" option now searches each route on its own line instead of treating them as one long chain.
  • "Top rated only" earns its name: it now keeps only stops with a proven top rating โ€” 4.2โ˜… and up, weighted by how many people actually rated them. A fast-food counter with a middling score can't sneak in as "top rated coffee" anymore.
  • Simpler panel: the stop-spacing dropdown is gone โ€” pick a route, a category, a max distance, and go. (Spacing like "a fuel stop every 300 miles" is a Juliet request.)

Free Preview, Human Verification & Your License Menu
July 6, 2026
๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Try it free, for real
  • Free preview: new accounts get a genuine taste of LN COMMAND โ€” 3 Trip Packages, 5 dropped points, 2 route builds (up to 150 miles), and a find-along-route search โ€” then a friendly nudge toward a license instead of a wall of errors.
  • Your license, one tap away: the profile menu now shows your plan and a "License & Credits" shortcut to your account page, and the plan meter is visible on every plan โ€” including Free.
  • Human verification: sign-ups and sign-ins are now protected by Cloudflare Turnstile โ€” usually an invisible check, always a locked door for bots.
  • Password reset fixed: the "Forgot password?" dialog now runs its own quick verification check right in the dialog and sends reset links reliably.
  • Checkout returns you home: after buying a license or credit pack you land right back on your account page โ€” signed in, where you started.
  • Docs where you need them: the ? menu now links Plans & Credits, the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy alongside the guides.
  • Email confirmations: new accounts confirm their email before their first sign-in.

Your Account, Plans & Licenses
July 5, 2026
๐Ÿชช One account, one license
  • My Account page: your plan, license renewal date, and the full credit picture โ€” this month's bar, your banked credits, and purchased packs โ€” all in one place, with billing management built in. Find it from the plan meter's "Upgrade / Add credits" button.
  • Plans & pricing: the license ladder is public โ€” Free, Entry, Pro, and Enterprise. LN COMMAND licenses are yearly (pay monthly or up front) and your price is locked for your entire license year. Purchases open when public signups do.
  • Works with any GPS: LN COMMAND is a universal GPS trip-planning tool โ€” upload a GPX from Garmin, LEADNAV GPS, or anything that exports GPX, and it renders live on the map.
  • Friendly credit nudges: a one-time heads-up when you've used 80% of a month's credits, and a clean "add credits" prompt if you ever run dry โ€” no more cryptic errors.
  • Signups are coming: the new account-creation flow is built and tested โ€” LN COMMAND is invite-only for a little longer while we finish launch prep.

Your Plan Meter, Front and Center
July 3, 2026
๐Ÿ“Š See your plan at a glance
  • Plan meter moved to the bottom bar: your usage meter now sits next to the map stats โ€” visible anywhere in the app instead of buried in the Juliet panel, and it covers everything: Juliet, Trip Planner, and premium searches.
  • Tap for the full picture: the meter expands to show what's actually using your plan โ€” Juliet planning, route building, searches โ€” as simple percentages, plus a count of searches served from free map data (those cost you nothing).
  • Monthly credits that bank: your plan now works in credits โ€” a fresh allowance each month, and whatever you don't use banks automatically for your big trips and race season. The meter shows this month's usage and your banked balance side by side.

Find Along Route: Cross-Country Searches
July 2, 2026
โ›ฝ No route is too long anymore
  • Cross-country searches now work: "Find Along Route" (and Juliet's along-route searches) used to come back empty on very long routes โ€” a 2,000+ mile route is now searched automatically in sections, end to end.
  • Honest coverage, always: if a stretch of the route can't be searched, you're told exactly which miles were missed โ€” never a silent empty result.
  • Smart backup search: when the free map data doesn't have what you asked for, a small, capped backup search fills the gap automatically and tells you it did.
  • Stop spacing: new "Stop spacing" option โ€” "one every ~250 miles" keeps the most on-route stop per stretch instead of dumping every match. And if a search would return thousands of markers (all hotels, 25 miles out, cross-country), it now tells you up front and suggests how to narrow it instead of burying your map.

A Smoother, More Reliable Juliet Chat
June 29, 2026
๐Ÿ’ฌ Chat that keeps up with you
  • Keep typing while she works: the message box no longer locks up while Juliet is on a task โ€” type and send your next request and it queues up, instead of leaving you waiting on a frozen input.
  • No more double-answers: if your connection hiccups or you tap send twice, Juliet runs your request exactly once โ€” no duplicate work, and no "you just asked me that."
  • Your answer always lands: even on big jobs that take a few minutes, Juliet's reply is saved and delivered reliably โ€” it can't get lost to a dropped connection anymore.
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Smarter trips, faster Juliet
  • Multi-stop trips come out as one route: ask for a trip "from A through B to C" and you get a single continuous route through every stop โ€” not separate, disconnected legs.
  • Juliet is quicker: she's been rebuilt under the hood โ€” no "getting ready" wait before your first message, and she stays fast even as more people use her at once.

Juliet Gets More Dependable
June 28, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿงญ Trips that stay on the road โ€” and answers you can trust
  • Stops stay on your route: when Juliet builds a trip through your stops, every stop now lands on the route line โ€” no more camps or sights stranded a state away. She measures each stop's distance to the road and reports it, so "on your route" actually means on your route.
  • She knows what's on your map: Juliet now reads the exact, live contents of your file โ€” every route, marker, icon, and distance โ€” before she answers, so she tells you what's actually there instead of describing it from memory. No more confidently-wrong answers about your trip.
  • She finishes the whole request: ask for two things โ€” "camping every 250 mi and some good scenic stops" โ€” and you get both, placed and on-route, instead of half the job and a "want me to alsoโ€ฆ?"
๐Ÿค– Juliet โ€” markers & searches you can trust
  • Area searches actually land: when you ask Juliet to mark every gas station, marina, or campground in an area, the markers now reliably appear on the map with the right icons โ€” and the count she reports matches what you see.
  • Search by brand: "mark all the Sheetz along my route" gives you Sheetz, not every fuel stop. Brand and name filtering now works the way you'd expect โ€” and isn't tripped up by punctuation (Love's vs Loves).
  • "One every N miles" spacing: ask for a fuel stop every 200 miles and you get a handful of well-spaced, on-route stops โ€” not a wall of 100+ pins.
  • Honest edits: when Juliet says she removed or kept certain markers, she actually did it โ€” no more "done!" without the change landing on the map.
๐Ÿ”Ž Web lookups that work
  • Juliet can search the web again: ask her to look something up โ€” a business, trail conditions, race info, weather โ€” and she pulls real results instead of coming up empty.
โณ Big jobs don't feel broken anymore
  • Long requests stay on track: a big multi-stop trip can take a few minutes โ€” the chat now waits cleanly and drops the finished result on the map on its own, with no confusing "connection dropped" messages and no way to accidentally double-send while she's still working.
  • You get her full answer: even when a long job runs past the connection limit, Juliet's complete write-up now appears when it's done โ€” not just a silent map update.

Trip Packages, Smarter Routing & Safer Saves
June 27, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ“ฆ Collections are now Trip Packages
  • Renamed throughout to line up with LEADNAV GPS โ€” same GPS-file library, new name. Your files and history are unchanged.
๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Trip Planner
  • Route Stats card: after you build a route, a "Last Route" card shows total distance, drive time, and turn count โ€” and the panel stays open so you can actually see it.
  • Find Along Route keyword now works: filter results by brand or name โ€” type "Shell" and you get Shell stations, not every gas station.
  • Routes come out LEADNAV-ready: routes you build in LNCOMMAND are automatically thinned to the right density for the app, so a big loop exports as a clean, navigable file instead of a giant one that lags the phone. Files you upload are left exactly as-is.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Safer File Saving
  • Version history: every save now keeps previous versions in the cloud, so a bad edit is always recoverable.
  • Better Undo: "Undo Last Change" restores the previous saved version even if your device's local copy is gone.
  • No more silent overwrites: a Trip Planner save can no longer quietly clobber a change Juliet just made โ€” if they collide you're asked to retry instead of losing work.
  • Integrity check: every saved file carries a fingerprint so corruption is caught, not served.

Course Notes from PDFs & Spreadsheets
June 2, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ“Ž Share Files with Juliet
  • Drag & drop anywhere in Juliet's chat โ€” screenshots, PDFs, or spreadsheets. Or use the ๐Ÿ“Ž button.
  • PDF upload is back, and now you can drop a file straight onto the whole chat window, not just the text box.
๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Course-Note Injection
  • Race-bible PDF: drop it and Juliet reads every course note and places it along your route at the right spot โ€” calibrated against your file's fixed RM (mile markers) and VCP points, because drawn route distance isn't true course mileage.
  • Spreadsheet (.xlsx / .csv): if your notes include coordinates, she drops each note exactly; if it's mileage-only, she calibrates like a PDF.
  • Private by design: spreadsheets are read on your device โ€” the file itself never leaves your browser.

Reliability & Live Health
June 1, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Juliet Reliability
  • Automatic recovery of stuck sessions, plus a nightly self-test that catches problems before you hit them.
  • Honest errors: if something fails, Juliet now tells you the real reason instead of a generic "something went wrong."
  • A live Health & Usage dashboard for the LEADNAV Systems team.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: "Add to existing collection" now merges the imported file into your open collection instead of losing context.

Juliet Remembers You
May 31, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿง  Per-User Memory
  • Your Juliet's memory is now backed up and restored automatically โ€” she keeps what she's learned about your teams, your files, and how you like things done, across sessions and updates.
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Map & Account Fixes
  • Fixed: 3D view now shows full marker density (no more thinned-out markers when tilted).
  • Fixed: layer show/hide toggles and a more reliable file refresh after edits.
  • Fixed: password-recovery links now land on the right screen.

Juliet Builds Routes Herself
May 30, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ New Juliet Abilities
  • Juliet can now build a road route and find POIs along a route, writing them straight into your open collection.
  • Warmup: open Juliet's panel and she gets ready in the background, so your first message comes back faster.
  • Long jobs that outlive the connection now land on your map automatically when they finish โ€” no reload, no resend.
๐Ÿงญ Trip Planner Hardening
  • Town/city names now resolve in Route Builder (geocoding fallback), fuel stops are capped to a tight on-route corridor, plus a batch of UX polish across every Trip Planner flow.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: route turn-cue symbols were being stripped to a default icon โ€” now preserved.
  • Fixed: new-user signup and the "Edit Name / Could not reach server" error.

Dedicated Juliet โ€” Full Power
May 29, 2026
Stable
โš™๏ธ Full Capabilities Restored
  • Each Pro user's Juliet now runs with full capabilities โ€” real file tools and fast area searches (find all BBQ, gas, or camping in an area in seconds) and accurate road routing.
  • Security hardening: full per-user isolation, firewall, verified login on every request, and rotated keys.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: special characters (&, <, >) in names no longer break the map.
  • Fixed: invalid marker icons auto-correct; the voice no longer reads "vertical bar" from tables; the map auto-zooms to Juliet's edits.

Your Own Dedicated Juliet
May 28, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿš€ A New Foundation for Pro
  • Every Pro user now gets their own dedicated, private Juliet โ€” her own isolated workspace, your files, and her own memory โ€” instead of a shared assistant. Your data and your Juliet's memory are yours alone.
  • Bigger, faster infrastructure to power it.
  • Juliet's training and skills were refreshed for the new architecture.

v2.1.0 โ€” Trip Planner Overhaul
May 23, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Trip Planner โ€” Place Search
  • Place Search is now the default tab when opening Trip Planner
  • Map-aware search: searches are automatically biased to your current map view โ€” type "Walmart" and get all nearby Walmarts, no city name needed
  • Area searches ("gas stations in Gettysburg PA", "hotels near Hampton Roads") return all results as map markers
  • "near me" queries now resolve to your actual map location
  • Single precise addresses still drop a single pin
๐Ÿ“ New: Click-to-Place Marker
  • New "Click Map" toggle in Place Search โ€” click anywhere on the map to drop a pin at that exact spot
  • Perfect for marking off-road locations, trail junctions, or any spot with no address
  • Uses the selected icon and label from the Place Search fields
๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Route & Track Stats
  • Tap or click any route or track line to see a popup with stats
  • Routes show: name, distance (miles), estimated drive time, turn count
  • Tracks show: name and total distance
โœ๏ธ Collection Rename
  • Click the pencil icon or double-click any collection name to rename it inline
  • No page reload needed
๐Ÿ”Ž Full Icon Picker
  • Icon selector now shows all available LEADNAV marker symbols organized by category: Standard, Recon, Hunting, Aviation
  • Visual grid matching the LEADNAV GPS iOS app icon layout
โ˜• Find Along Route โ€” Coffee Added
  • Coffee shops added to the Find Along Route category list
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Route Builder and Place Search tabs were bleeding into each other
  • Fixed: Tab order corrected โ€” Place Search shown first
  • Fixed: App was loading centered on Baja California instead of continental US
  • Fixed: Map layer stacking order โ€” routes now always render above tracks; waypoints always on top
  • Fixed: Diamond marker icons displayed with correct aspect ratio (not squashed)

v2.0.8
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Trip Package tool was showing raw internal output in chat instead of Julietโ€™s formatted response with a clickable download link
  • Cleaned up duplicate trip package endpoint โ€” consolidated to single implementation

v2.0.7
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Trip Package
  • New Trip Package โ€” ask Juliet for a "trip package" or "PDF with map" and she generates a full package: satellite overview map with your route overlaid, route stats, and waypoint table
  • Map image powered by Google Maps Static API โ€” satellite view by default, route drawn as a red line with green Start / red End markers
  • Opens as a web page you can print to PDF from any browser (Ctrl+P โ†’ Save as PDF)

v2.0.6
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Juliet area searches (e.g. "find all hospitals around the route") were geocoding the phrase "around the route area" to a random US location โ€” injecting the active GPS file's centroid coordinates into the search context so Juliet uses the actual file location instead of guessing
  • Fixed: Juliet could bypass the area-search gate by placing โ‰ค5 markers directly from training memory โ€” reverted to binary block: any direct waypoint write on an area-search request now requires SEARCH_TOOL (live Overpass/OSM query)
  • Fixed: Trip Planner "Find Along Route" now shows a warning when the active route is over 200 miles long, so results being spread across the full corridor is expected and visible

v2.0.5
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Juliet could not place small sets of targeted markers (e.g. "mark hospitals with phone numbers") โ€” the area-search gate was blocking all direct waypoint writes regardless of count

v2.0.4
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes โ€” Trip Planner
  • Fixed: ๐Ÿ“ My Location button now correctly fills your GPS coordinates into the Origin field โ€” previously the button panned the map but left the field empty
  • Fixed: Marker names as destination โ€” typing "TGT", "to TGT marker", "HLZ", etc. now routes directly to the exact GPX pin coordinates instead of falling back to Google geocoding

v2.0.3
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes โ€” Trip Planner
  • Fixed: Typing "my location" or "here" in origin/destination now shows a clear error and directs you to use the ๐Ÿ“ button โ€” previously it geocoded to a generic city area instead of your actual GPS position
  • Fixed: Destination marker names with natural language like "to TGT marker" now correctly resolve to the GPX pin โ€” filler words (to, the, marker, waypoint, etc.) are stripped before lookup
  • Fixed: 10-second timeout on sign-in โ€” if Supabase is slow to respond, the button resets with a retry message instead of hanging indefinitely

v2.0.2
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ“‚ Upload โ€” KML, KMZ, USR, and ZIP Support
  • The GPS file upload zone now accepts KML, KMZ, Lowrance USR, and ZIP files โ€” all auto-converted to GPX in the browser before uploading
  • KML โ€” Google Earth route, track, and waypoint files convert directly
  • KMZ โ€” Zipped KML files are extracted and converted
  • ZIP โ€” Archives are scanned for GPS files (GPX, KML, KMZ) and merged into one GPX
  • USR โ€” Lowrance USR v4/v5 binary waypoint files are parsed and converted
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Removed PDF from GPS collections upload โ€” PDFs go via Juliet chat, not collections
  • Fixed mobile topbar overflow on narrow iPhones โ€” all buttons now fit cleanly on small screens

v2.0.1
May 17, 2026
Previous
๐ŸŽจ Trip Planner
  • Route color picker now shows all 9 supported colors โ€” added Yellow, Brown, Gray, and Black

v2.0.0
May 16, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿงญ Trip Planner โ€” Complete (Phases 1A + 1B + 1C)
  • New Trip Planner panel alongside Juliet โ€” deterministic, No AI, all tools backed by Google APIs
  • Route Builder: Origin, destination, up to 3 stops, avoid highway/toll/ferry, route color. ๐Ÿ“ My Location button fills origin from GPS and pans the map
  • Find Along Route: Pick a category (Coffee, Gas, Food, Hotels, Hospitals, Pharmacies, Camping, Parks, Marinas, Airports, Attractions). Set max distance from route (1โ€“25 mi). Optional keyword filter โ€” type โ€œStarbucksโ€ to only mark Starbucks. Marks all unique stops evenly along the full route length
  • Place Search: Type any address, business, or landmark โ€” drops a single precise marker. Type โ€œStarbucks in Hampton Roadsโ€ or โ€œstate parks in Pennsylvaniaโ€ to find and mark ALL matching locations in that area (up to 60 results). Detects city vs. state/country and adjusts search radius automatically
  • ๐Ÿ“ My Location button in Place Search too โ€” fill search with your GPS coordinates
  • โ†บ Undo Last Change button on every tab โ€” restores the file to its state before the last Trip Planner action
  • Loading overlay with status message blocks double-actions during all operations
  • Map toast notifications confirm every result (e.g. โ€œโœ“ Found 23 Fuel Stop stops along your routeโ€)
  • Trip Planner and Juliet share the same file โ€” use Trip Planner to find locations, then ask Juliet to filter, rename, or reorganize them
๐Ÿ’€ Juliet Improvements
  • Juliet header always shows โ€œMission Planning Specialist AIโ€ โ€” collection name no longer replaces her title
  • Both panels (Juliet + Trip Planner) now start closed on login
๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Backend
  • New POST /trip/route, POST /trip/poi-along-route, POST /trip/place-marker endpoints โ€” all deterministic, no LLM
  • HTTPS enforcement on both static servers โ€” HTTP requests auto-redirect to https://
  • Place Search smart area detection โ€” geocodes area type, scales radius accordingly, paginates up to 3 pages (60 results)

v1.9.0
May 16, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿงญ Trip Planner โ€” Phase 1A
  • Initial Trip Planner panel with Route Builder
  • New POST /trip/route proxy endpoint

v1.8.0
May 16, 2026
Previous
๐Ÿ“„ Help Guides โ€” Inline Popup
  • All โ€œ?โ€ help menu items now open as in-app popups instead of new browser tabs
  • Responsive across desktop, iPhone, and iPad
  • Dark-themed modal matches the rest of the app
๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Juliet โ€” Drag & Drop Images
  • Drop screenshots or images directly onto the Juliet chat area to attach them
  • Shows as attachment chip โ€” same as using the paperclip button
๐Ÿ”ง Juliet โ€” Bug Fixes
  • File download links in chat now work without unauthorized error
  • Chat history clears when switching between collections
  • Route building no longer auto-adds POI markers unless explicitly asked
  • TTS voice now pronounces km, mph, ft, nm, and coordinates naturally
  • Marker labels hidden at low zoom โ€” large files no longer cause label storm on map
  • Nearby markers deduplicated at low zoom for cleaner display
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Platform
  • Server sends proper Cache-Control no-store headers โ€” users never need to clear cache after updates
  • Marker icon size locked at 14px (Law 3) โ€” enforced in code with inline comments
  • Developer Console added (admin-only) with Update Checklist, Deploy Procedure, Laws, Lessons Learned, Infra tabs
v1.7.0
May 15, 2026
Previous
โš–๏ธ Juliet Laws โ€” Enforced in Code
  • ๐Ÿ’พ
    Auto-Backup Before Every Major Change
Juliet now saves a backup of your file before any significant edit (track conversion, merge, deletion, bulk changes). One-click Undo button appears in the header whenever a backup exists.
  • ๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ
    Spiderweb Gate
Juliet cannot attempt to untangle overlapping tracks without you first providing a start point, end point, and direction of travel. Enforced at the server level โ€” she cannot bypass it.
  • ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ
    Delete Confirmation Gate
Deleting any map element (track, route, waypoint, marker) now requires a confirmation step. The server describes exactly what will be deleted and waits for your confirmation before executing.
๐Ÿ” Search โ€” Now Uses Both OSM + Google Places
  • ๐ŸŒ
    Universal Dual-Source Search
Every search request now queries both OpenStreetMap and Google Places simultaneously. Results are merged and deduplicated. You get the full picture โ€” not just what one source happens to know about.
  • ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ
    FIND_ALONG_ROUTE_TOOL (renamed from POI_TOOL)
The route-based POI search tool has been renamed for clarity. SEARCH_TOOL finds things in an area. FIND_ALONG_ROUTE_TOOL finds things along an active route. No more ambiguity.
๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Dev Console
  • ๐Ÿ“‹
    Live Laws Feed
The Dev Console (admin-only) now shows all active Juliet Laws fetched live from the server. Hit Refresh to see the current state at any time. Laws appear automatically as they are added.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Marker icon size locked at 14ร—14 โ€” had regressed to 22px, now permanently enforced as a Law
  • Fixed: Juliet chat input textarea invisible on load โ€” added min-height and overflow:hidden
  • Fixed: Browser scrollbar overlapping Juliet panel โ€” html element now has overflow:hidden
  • Fixed: Messages area scrollbar track visible when empty โ€” track now transparent
  • Fixed: Login button dead on Safari Mac โ€” version redirect system forces fresh HTML on every deploy, proxy crash loop eliminated
  • Fixed: Dev Console not showing for admin โ€” admin check was firing before auth confirmed

v1.6.3
May 9, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Routing Engine Upgrade
  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ
Google Routes API โ€” High-Quality Road Geometry
Routing now powered by Googleโ€™s Routes API with HIGH_QUALITY polyline mode. Route lines match every curve and bend of the actual road โ€” same geometry Google Maps uses internally. Mileage, ETA, and fuel range calculations are now based on the real road path, not a simplified approximation.

v1.6.2
May 9, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Route geometry housekeeping and routing engine groundwork.

v1.6.1
May 7, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Turn direction labels (Sharp Left / Sharp Right) could be inverted at T-intersections. Juliet now correctly identifies whether to turn left or right at dead-end roads and intersections.

v1.6.0
May 6, 2026
Stable
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Smarter Routing โ€” Use Any Road, Town, or Stop
  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ
    Via-Point Routing Actually Works
When you ask Juliet to route via specific roads, through a town, past a landmark, or stopping at a business โ€” she now actually does it. Previously, Juliet would acknowledge the request and then ignore it, letting OSRM pick the fastest path regardless. Now those requests become real intermediate waypoints the route is forced through.
  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
    Natural Language Understood
You can now say things like: "route it through downtown Chesapeake", "stop at the Flying J on I-64", "take the scenic route along the coast", "I want to go past the harbor", or "use back roads." Juliet understands the full range of routing language โ€” not just "via."
  • ๐Ÿšซ
    Avoid Options
Tell Juliet to avoid specific road types: "no highways" / "back roads" / "scenic route" avoids interstates. "No tolls" avoids toll roads. "No ferry" avoids ferry crossings. These are passed directly to the routing engine.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Via-waypoints were silently dropped โ€” OSRM now receives all requested stops as intermediate coordinates
  • Fixed: Multi-leg routes (3+ stops) now collect turn-by-turn steps from all legs, not just the first
  • Fixed: Unresolvable stops now reported back to you instead of silently skipped

v1.5.0
May 4, 2026
๐Ÿ”’ Security Hardening
  • ๐Ÿ”’
    User Data Fully Isolated
Comprehensive security audit completed. Every userโ€™s conversations, GPS files, and collections are now enforced at the database level โ€” no account can access anotherโ€™s data. Supabase Row Level Security applied across all tables and file storage.
  • โš ๏ธ
    Cloud Sync Failure Alert
If Julietโ€™s file update fails to sync to cloud storage, a yellow warning now appears in the chat โ€” โ€œMap updated locally but cloud sync failed โ€” your file is safe on this device.โ€ Previously this failed silently with no indication.
  • ๐Ÿ”„
    Automatic Upload Retry
When Juliet writes a file, the upload to cloud storage now retries automatically up to 3 times if a transient error occurs. Ensures large files (thousands of markers, full race files) sync reliably even under unstable network conditions.
  • ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ
    5-Version File History
Every time Juliet edits a file, the previous version is preserved in a rolling 5-version backup ring. Previously only one undo level existed โ€” one operation could wipe your prior state. Now you have 5 levels of recovery.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Cloud upload hanging indefinitely if Supabase had a slow response โ€” 30-second timeout now enforced on all uploads
  • Fixed: API endpoints accessible without authentication โ€” all proxy endpoints now require valid credentials
  • Fixed: Sensitive API keys stored in source code โ€” moved to environment variables

v1.4.0
May 4, 2026
Stable
โœจ New Features
  • ๐Ÿ”
Area Search โ€” Find Anything, Anywhere
Ask Juliet to find any type of place across any geographic area โ€” no route needed. "Mark all grocery stores in Currituck County", "Find every hospital in Chesapeake", "Show all airports in Arizona", "Add every McDonald's in Virginia Beach." Works for anything โ€” gas stations, police stations, fire stations, marinas, boat ramps, gyms, banks, ATMs, hotels, restaurants, schools, churches, parks, zoos, museums, and more. Powered by OpenStreetMap โ€” free, global coverage.
  • ๐ŸŸจ
    Federal Lands Layer
New toggle in the Layers panel. Shows BLM, National Forest, National Park, Wildlife Refuge, and other federal land management areas as colored fills at 45% opacity over any basemap. Stacks underneath your parcel outlines when both are enabled.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Reliability
  • ๐Ÿ”’
    No More Phantom Responses
Fixed a class of issues where Juliet would confidently report work as done when nothing was actually written to the map. The server now structurally blocks these responses โ€” if no file was written, you get an honest failure message, not a false confirmation.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Parcels and Federal Lands toggles appearing ON after page reload when layers weren't actually loaded โ€” both now always start OFF
  • Fixed: Airport searches returning zero results โ€” wrong internal database tag was being used
  • Fixed: Large airports (like Currituck County Regional) missing from area searches โ€” complex map features now included

v1.3.0
May 2โ€“3, 2026
Stable
โœจ New Features
  • ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ
    Road Route Builder
Juliet can now build real road-following routes from scratch. Give her a start and end point โ€” or a list of waypoints โ€” and she builds a GPS route that follows actual roads, tracks, and paths using OpenStreetMap road data. Routes come out as proper LEADNAV-format GPX files ready to transfer to your iPad. Works anywhere in the world including Baja.
  • ๐Ÿ“
GPS Location Pin โ€” Drop Context Into Chat
Tap the ๐Ÿ“ pin button in the chat bar to capture your current GPS location. Your coordinates are automatically injected into your next message โ€” tell Juliet to "drop a marker here" or "find hospitals near me" and she has your exact location. One-shot โ€” clears automatically after each message.
  • ๐Ÿก
    Property Parcel Layer
New toggle in the Layers panel. Tap any property to see owner name, parcel address, acreage, and APN/parcel number. Labels appear when zoomed to street level. Works across all map types (Satellite, Topo, Recon). Powered by Regrid.
  • ๐Ÿ“
Drop a Marker Anywhere in the World
Juliet can now place a marker at any named location anywhere in the world โ€” no route needed. Give her a business name, address, GPS coordinates, or just a place description and she'll find it and place it on your map.
  • โ›ฝ
    POI Search Along Your Route
With a route loaded, ask Juliet to find services along the way โ€” "Find fuel stops along my route", "Show restaurants within 10 miles", "Add hospitals along the way." Results drop as markers on the map automatically.
  • ๐Ÿ”„
Turn Detection โ€” Bearing-Based Audible Waypoints
When Juliet builds a route, she now detects actual turn angles at each waypoint. Left turns, right turns, slight curves, and U-turns are automatically assigned the correct LEADNAV audible icon (Left Turn, Right Turn, etc.) based on the bearing change โ€” not just guessing from the name.
  • ๐Ÿ”—
    Multi-Step Tool Chains
Juliet can now chain multiple operations in sequence โ€” build a route, then find POIs along it, then drop additional markers โ€” each step confirming before the next.
  • ๐Ÿ”’
    Full-Fidelity Route Rendering โ€” Locked
Route and track lines now always render at full fidelity regardless of zoom level. Previously, zooming out could cause lines to be simplified. That's permanently locked off โ€” what you see is exactly what's in your file.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Markers disappearing after Juliet updates a file in 3D mode โ€” labels now persist across all re-renders
  • Fixed: Map zooming out to space (zoom level 0) after some Juliet responses โ€” minimum zoom clamped to prevent this
  • Fixed: Switching back to 2D from 3D caused all markers to vanish โ€” marker layer now fully restored on 2D return
  • Fixed: Orange route color not recognized by Juliet โ€” all 9 LEADNAV route colors now fully documented in her context
  • Fixed: POI results placing markers in water or miles off-route โ€” proximity gate added, results more than 1.5km off-route are rejected
  • Fixed: ROUTE_TOOL instruction defined but never sent to Juliet โ€” she could see the tool structure but never received instructions on how to use it
  • Fixed: Road routes drawing as straight lines between waypoints instead of following actual road geometry โ€” now uses full step-by-step geometry from the routing engine
  • Fixed: Location pin injecting GPS coordinates into every message instead of just one โ€” now injects once then clears
  • Fixed: Parcel layer crashing 3D mode โ€” cleanly disabled on 3D entry and restored on return to 2D
  • Fixed: Parcel layer breaking map type switching โ€” surgical fix restores all basemap transitions
  • Fixed: Parcel owner labels not rendering โ€” missing font/glyphs URL added to tile layer style
  • Fixed: Parcel labels appearing too late (zoom 15) โ€” now appear at zoom 14
  • Fixed: Juliet's MARKER_TOOL and ROUTE_TOOL syntax leaking into visible chat replies โ€” all tool signal text now stripped from user-facing output
  • Fixed: 3D map crashing when opened without a collection loaded โ€” null-safe fix applied
  • Fixed: Undo backup files not cleaning up properly over time
  • Fixed: Stale collection shortcut appearing in UI after deletion

v1.2.0
May 1, 2026
โœจ New Features
  • ๐ŸŒ
    3D Terrain View
Toggle between 2D and 3D on any map type. 3D Satellite and 3D Topo both available. Full ESRI world elevation data โ€” pan, tilt, and orbit your terrain. All GPS data (routes, tracks, markers) renders correctly at real elevation in 3D.
  • ๐Ÿงญ
    Rotating Compass
Live compass rotates as you pan the map. Tap it to snap back to north-up instantly. Works in both 2D and 3D modes, tracks camera heading in 3D.
  • โณ
    Map Loading Spinner
Clean centered spinner while your collection loads โ€” no more blank map flash during file load.
  • โ“
    Help Menu
? button in the toolbar opens quick-access links to all reference guides โ€” Marker Symbol Guide, Route Colors, Getting Started, Working with Juliet, and this Update Log.
  • ๐ŸŽฏ
    Marker Symbol Guide
Full visual reference guide for all 85+ LEADNAV marker icons โ€” browse by category, see previews, and get the exact names to use when talking to Juliet. Available at /marker-guide.html.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: New collection not auto-selected after creation โ€” required manual click to open it
  • Fixed: Map not clearing when switching to a new empty collection
  • Fixed: 3D toggle failing due to incorrect container handling โ€” now uses ESRI-safe method
  • Fixed: Compass not tracking heading in 3D mode
  • Fixed: Compass always hidden when map was north-up โ€” now always visible
  • Fixed: Collections failing to load after internal team refactor
  • Fixed: "3D Satellite" option showing globe emoji in the map type menu

v1.1.0
April 28โ€“30, 2026
โœจ New Features
  • ๐Ÿ“ฑ
    Full iPhone & Mobile Support
Complete mobile layout pass. LNCommand now works properly on iPhone and iPad in portrait and landscape. Safe area insets throughout โ€” notch, Dynamic Island, and home indicator are all handled correctly. Verified on all common iPhone and iPad sizes.
  • ๐Ÿ“‚
    Upload Destination Choice
When uploading a file, you're now prompted to choose: create a new collection for it, or add it to an existing one. No more files dropped into the wrong place.
  • ๐Ÿ”Š
    Improved Juliet Voice
Juliet's spoken responses are now clean natural speech โ€” markdown symbols, bold headers, bullet points, and formatting stripped before going to voice. Character limit raised to 1,500 characters. If truncation is needed, it cuts at a sentence boundary โ€” never mid-word or mid-thought.
  • ๐Ÿ—ƒ๏ธ
    Chat Message Logging
All Juliet conversations are now logged to the database โ€” enables future review, training, and analytics.
๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: Layers toggle panel cut off right edge of screen on iPhone
  • Fixed: Bottom bar overlapping iPhone home indicator
  • Fixed: Topbar hidden behind notch on iPhone
  • Fixed: Juliet voice stopping early at em dashes and section headers
  • Fixed: Juliet formatting long responses as hard-to-read wall-of-text โ€” now clean bullet lists
  • Fixed: Sending a screenshot alongside a message caused Juliet to ignore the message entirely and discuss screenshots instead
  • Fixed: Session state (map data, chat) not clearing on logout โ€” could leak data to next user on shared devices
  • Fixed: Mobile bottom sheet drag-to-close not working reliably

v1.0.0
April 24โ€“27, 2026
๐Ÿš€ Initial Launch โ€” Private Beta
  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ
